Whilst the term ‘Law of Attraction’ can give the impression that it’s just about attracting specific ‘things’, it can equally serve as an excellent approach to life with a comprehensive theoretical framework and powerful, practical system.

According to the Law of Attraction, our thoughts are continually influencing all aspects of life whether we are deliberately working with the Law of Attraction or not. Therefore when talking about adopting it as an approach to life, we are talking about intentionally utilising it.

The Law of Attraction has several elements that are similar to other spiritual systems that people adopt as approaches to life, such as meditation and positive thinking. However, one aspect of the Law of Attraction that isn’t so widely emphasised in some other traditions is ‘creating’. As the Law of Attraction explains that the moment we have a new desire the broader part of us expands and becomes what we want energetically, it states that ‘creating’ enables us through our focused thought to match who we’ve become.

I believe that there are many potential benefits that come from viewing the Law of Attraction as an approach to life.

There are three key types of Law of Attraction techniques which are relaxation/meditation, making the best of our current experience and positively focusing forward. The primary benefit that I have found from adopting it as an approach to life and regularly doing at least one of each of the three types of techniques is that the three techniques complement each other and facilitate in feeling more relaxed, happier with our current life and in having a positive view of the future.

In addition if someone views it as an approach to life they may be more likely to work with particular techniques regularly and for that practice to become a part of their life, which gives the opportunity to make more significant changes. Someone I spoke to at a recent event said that it’s like if you kept digging for water in different locations you probably wouldn’t find water whereas if you stayed in one location and kept digging you very likely would.

By seeing it as an approach to life can also help in seeing life as less of a destination but rather as a journey in which expansion constantly occurs through being exposed to new life experiences. The Law of Attraction techniques assist in staying up to speed with this expansion and in continuing to enjoy life even when we have manifested specific things that we want. For instance if someone attracted their ideal job through applying the Law of Attraction by then maintaining their practice this would help them to continue to enjoy it.
